About Our S.W.A.G
The name "WoodChopper" is a tribute to the legacy of founders' parents, David "WoodChopper" and Barbara Gordon. The S.W.A.G. in our name represents the last initials of co-owners Lisa and Allen Settles, Scotty and Brenda Walker, Marlon and Sonya Alexander, and Marsha Gordon.
Founded in 2024 in Sulphur Springs, TX, WoodChopper S.W.A.G. Food Trailer is a proud family and veteran-owned enterprise. Our mission is dedicated to enriching the community by serving love through our cuisine, aiming to establish a lasting legacy for the coming generations.
Our roots trace back to a local culinary legend, Julius Pitts, who in the 1980s operated a popular food trailer on the East Side of Sulphur Springs at The Pacific Park. Known for his Pittsburg Hotlinks, chili dogs, and various snacks, Julius's trailer was a childhood cornerstone for our founders. Today, WoodChopper S.W.A.G. aspires to rekindle that vibrant community spirit in the same neighborhood Pacific Park, now beautifully remodeled and still the home of our founders' family in Sulphur Springs.
